I don't know why I took this picture.
So I woke up really early this morning, ate an overpriced muffin, lifted, used the stationary bike, and swam. Then I was bored. Not feeling like sitting and socializing or hitting the beach again, I went to Bay Street to check out the souvenir shopping and food. (No food pics, I went to Burger King)
Right off the bus (er, jitney) , you'll notice that the street is geared to tourists... the richer kind. There was a row of jewelry stores. Go figure.
Jewelry. I guess the perk of being single is you don't ever have to buy any.
At a couple stores I noticed these cute mini-ukuleles. I wanted one. I didn't see any for sale. Drag.
I like tourist hats. Thank god I didn't buy one, right?
Shirts sold at this store were made of bamboo! They're supposed to keep you 3 degrees cooler. Not worth the $10 more you'd pay for it.
Buildings are colorful.
Murals are also colorful. Really colorful. I didn't see the face in it until I looked at the photo.
Yea, that's THE ship in the background. It's probably half the size of the other ships I saw, but I'll get to them later.
IDK.
More mini-ukuleles I couldn't find to buy...
One of the souvenir shops was run by a Chinese woman.
The dragon garments made it obvious.
I found a Filipino restaurant. I was hoping it would smell like adobo- it smelled like bangus. I promptly left. Also, I wondered if they could tell if I was Filipino (past interactions make me think they thought I was something else *cough* Isabelle *cough*).There were actually a pretty good amount of Filipinos on the street, and I heard Tagalog more than once. I wonder if the Bahamas recruit Filipinos for jobs regularly...
Said boats talked about.
This cracked me up.
For $15 you can look like Kyle Holtschneider!
Bye for now!
